How bookkeeping pricing works Quoted before any work begins.

Pricing depends on your books: the volume, the complexity, and what you need. Every engagement starts with a free consultation, and you get a recommendation and a quote before any work begins.

From first call to first month

You see the quote before anything starts.

  1. 1

    Free consultation

A conversation about your business, how the books are kept today, and what you need. There’s no obligation.

  2. 2

    Recommendation

We recommend the right setup: monthly bookkeeping, and a cleanup first if the books need one.

  3. 3

    Quote

You get the quote before any work begins, so you know the cost up front.

  4. 4

    Work begins

Once you agree to the scope, the work starts.

What sets the price

Three things shape every quote.

No two sets of books are the same, so we quote each engagement after the free consultation rather than publish a price list.

  • Volume

How much comes through the books each month.

  • Complexity

How the business runs and what the books need to track, from client trust accounts to practice costs.

  • What you need

Which services: monthly bookkeeping, a cleanup first, an evaluation, training, or a conversion.

By service

How each service is quoted.

Cleanup, evaluation, and conversion lead into monthly bookkeeping. Training stands on its own.

  • Monthly Bookkeeping

A recurring monthly fee, quoted after the consultation and before any work begins.

  • Cleanup & Catch-Up

Scoped and quoted on its own. It goes back as far as necessary, sometimes only to the year your last tax return was prepared, which keeps the cost down. Monthly bookkeeping starts once it’s done.

  • QuickBooks Evaluation

Quoted before it begins. It ends with a one-hour findings call.

  • QuickBooks Training

Shaped around your file and your goals, and quoted before it’s scheduled. Sessions have a two-hour minimum.

  • QuickBooks Conversion

A plain-English plan for the migration, quoted before anything begins.

  • Law firms

Monthly bookkeeping is a flat monthly fee based on your firm’s complexity, including how many accounts we maintain, so you can budget for it. Historical cleanup is scoped separately, with an estimate before any work begins.

  • Private practices

Monthly bookkeeping is a recurring monthly fee, which holds for a year as long as the scope stays the same. Initial work such as a cleanup is quoted separately.
